S. 4711: Strategic Unmanned Systems Partnership Act
Bipartisan Senate bill establishing a Strategic Defense Innovation Working Group between the United States and Ukraine to jointly develop, produce, and transfer affordable unmanned systems. It brings Ukraine's drone expertise, proven in combat, into the U.S. arsenal and builds joint production of UAVs, naval drones, and drone defense technology.
Why it matters
Ukraine builds and improves combat unmanned systems faster than any other country. This bipartisan bill gives the United States a formal structure to learn from that experience, jointly produce systems proven in combat, and strengthen the defense industrial base of both countries.
