The Senate version of the Ukrainian Adjustment Act. Ukrainians who fled Russia's invasion have lived here legally for four years, and they are losing the legal status that protects them from deportation. This bill lets them apply for a green card after full security vetting. Both the House and the Senate have to pass it before it can become law.
Why it matters
Ukrainians who fled Russia's invasion have lived here legally for four years. They have built homes, careers and families. Now they are losing the legal status that protects them from deportation, and losing their jobs with it. S. 5521 lets them apply for a green card after full security vetting. It is the Senate version of H.R. 3104, and both the House and the Senate have to pass it before it can become law. Ask both of your senators to sign on as cosponsors now, which means formally adding their names in support, and to back the bill when it's reintroduced next year.
