S.Res. 612: 4th Anniversary Resolution: Reaffirming Support for Ukraine
Since russia's full scale invasion on February 24, 2022, its forces have repeatedly struck maternity hospitals, trains, homes and schools, and russia has abducted at least 19,500 Ukrainian children. This resolution would have the Senate affirm that any peace deal must respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, with Ukraine as the central party, and that abducted children must be returned unconditionally. It urges Congress and the President to add financial pressure on russia and third countries that enable its war, and backs strong U.S. security guarantees.
