Senator Mazie Hirono
In Congress since 2007, in the Senate since 2013. Mazie Hirono is a lawyer who served in the Hawaii House from 1981 to 1994, as lieutenant governor from 1994 to 2002 and in the U.S. House from 2007 to 2013. She is the first Asian-American woman elected to the Senate and the first U.S. senator born in Japan.
