Representative Pramila Jayapal
In Congress since 2017. Pramila Jayapal, a civil rights activist in Seattle, founded the immigrant rights group OneAmerica after the September 11 attacks and led it until 2012. She served in the Washington State Senate from 2015 to 2017. She is the first Indian American woman to serve in the U.S. House.
