Senator Mitch McConnell
In the Senate since 1985. Mitch McConnell is a lawyer and the longest-serving senator in Kentucky history. He led Senate Republicans from 2007 to 2025, longer than any other Senate party leader in U.S. history, and was majority leader from 2015 to 2021.
